A whole person approach
to birth preparation
Physical, emotional, educational, and spiritual support for your childbearing year
Why “rewilding” birth?
Rewilding birth is to reintroduce it back to the natural order. This is not to say birth must be done “naturally” (i.e. unmedicated, or unmedicalized) to be valid. On the contrary. It simply means turning birth back over to the birth-giver—allowing for choice, informed consent, and collaborative care in the ways that resonate with each individual.
I believe birth is an intimate, familial experience, and now is the time to reclaim it. To birth and parent from a place of instinct and intuition—unfettered by the expectations and demands set by society—is to gain sovereignty.
Birth is raw, moving with the natural rhythms and cycles modeled by Mother Earth. As we look to these cycles—recognizing the birth, death, and rebirth necessary for expansion and transformation—we begin to live more fully in our bodies, making decisions from a place of safety and peace, rather than fear or complacency.
However you give birth, you were made for this. And I’m here to guide you and your partner on your path.
Meet Lindsay
Lindsay Dougal (she/her)
CD, RYT-500, CPYT, CBE, Certified Sound Healing Practitioner
Lindsay is a believer in the power of a strong support network and grounds her practice in empowering birth-givers to remain informed of their options, pursue birth education, turn back to themselves, and—most importantly—feel supported in their journey. She has a passion for birth, and believes empowering and sacred birth experiences can, and do, happen everywhere. Lindsay is an inclusive and trauma-aware doula, who meets you where you’re at. She loves working with all types of families as they mindfully prepare to birth and parent their little ones, and has expertise in working with families pregnant again after loss.
Lindsay is a born-and-bred Utah native, and introverted to the core (living that INFJ life). She’s the wife of an amazingly supportive partner and mother to four stunning kiddos (3 earthside, 1 in the stars). She eats cookies like it’s her day job, loves fermenting all the things, and has some swear words she really likes using. When she’s not working with birthing families, you may find Lindsay daydreaming about far away lands she’d like to visit, concocting new herbal recipes, or snuggling on the couch with a soft blanket.

My Ideal Client
I love working with families who:
are aware of the emotional and philosophical aspects of birth, and are open to conversations around them—I have a lot of experience helping people who’ve experienced loss and other forms of trauma prepare for birth
are highly motivated, active participants in their birth—seeking out personal education and greater self-awareness
have defined intentions for their birth, AND hold space for the mysterious, unpredictable nature of birth
value collaborative, multidisciplinary care—having awareness around the value in a balance between medical and holistic care options
have chosen the midwifery model of care, or are high-risk and have very mindfully chosen an OB
I find so much value in beginning our work together early in pregnancy (first and second trimesters), as this gives us ample time to build a relationship of trust and mutual respect, gain clarity around desires and needs, and build effective plans of support.
While this is ideal, I understand it may not be possible for all families and am open to working with people later in pregnancy.
